Gina has been a member at CrossFit SOAR since 2012, but has been involved in sports and fitness since the third grade. From basketball, soccer and track & field to college marching band (yes, that counts) and working her way up to full marathons after having her son, Gina has made a habit of finding new ways to challenge herself in her pursuit to live a long and healthy life. It was ultimately a running injury resulting from too much running and not enough strength training and recovery that led her to CrossFit SOAR and yoga. Despite the setback, Gina is now grateful for the injury because it led her down a path of learning and evolving that she truly loves. While she embraces the first two words of the definition of CrossFit, “Constantly Varied”, in her own training as well as the balance between high intensity and recovery, she enjoys putting her knowledge to practice and sharing it with others.
